“George Elbert Burr (1859-1939) moved to Denver
in 1906. About 1910 the Burrs built a cabin about 25 miles south of Long's
Peak, just south of Boulder,
affording him magnificent views of the mountains. In 1916 Burr held a showing
of 16 etchings of Estes Park
scenes he called "Mountain Moods"… which were reproduced in art
magazines and newspapers as early as 1916, continuing through 1923.”
